Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Program provides support for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, as well as their families, Individuals of all ages receive customized services using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, which is scientifically proven to be effective in the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Your family will receive high quality care in your home by expertly trained support staff under direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.


Kennedy-Donovan Center School is a Chapter 766-approved private day school funded by local education agencies. The school provides the highest quality special education services to students, age 3 to 22 years who have developmental disabilities, physical challenges, medically-fragile conditions, and/or behavioral challenges.


Day Habilitation provides a daily, comprehensive program of therapies, developmental skills training, medical oversight, and assistance with activities of daily living for adults with developmental disabilities in a supportive, caring environment. The program is funded by Medicaid and MassHealth.


Certified by the Department of Public Health, this program provides services to young children (birth to 36 months) who have, or are at risk for, developmental delays. The program is funded by the Departments of Public Health (DPH) in Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Kennedy-Donovan Center provides Early Intervention in four regions: Attleboro, New Bedford, Plymouth and Southbridge/Connecticut.


Kennedy-Donovan Center’s Family Support Centers assist individuals and families with comprehensive and individualized services such as information and referrals, service navigation, family trainings, parent networking, community connection and resources, and administration of flexible funding. Funded by the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS), the Family Support Centers are located in two areas: Cape Cod and Milford.


Intensive Flexible Family Support provides short term, intensive case management to families of a child or adult with developmental disabilities who is in crisis and at risk of out-of-home placement for their child. The program is funded by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS).


Foster care is the temporary or long-term placement of a minor child in the family home of a non-relative. Reasons for placement include medical needs, developmental disabilities, or a history of abuse and neglect. Funding is provided by the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF).

KDC’s Comprehensive Foster Care Program recruits potential foster care parents and provides them with appropriate training and support to provide specialized care for children and youth with a wide variety of needs.

KDC’s LIFT (Lives Moving Forward in Transition) is a program for young adults, ages 18-22, who are in their transition toward independence. The program is voluntary and young adults continue to reside in a private home setting.

Independent Living Program is a transitional housing program which helps young adults transition from long term foster care into lives of independence. This program offers participants independent living arrangements in a private apartment.


Healthy Families is a state-wide home-visiting program available for first-time parents age 20 and under. Services are provided from the beginning of the pregnancy until the child’s third birthday. The program is funded by the Children’s Trust of Massachusetts and provided by KDC out of two locations: Greater New Bedford and Greater Plymouth.


Kennedy-Donovan Center offers customized assistance to people with disabilities in their home and community life based upon the individual’s specific needs. Services range from assistance with transportation to help with meal preparation, activities of daily living, and bill paying. Individual Support Services are funded by the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and are available in the Cape Cod, Milford and New Bedford regions.


Funded by the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and Medicaid, these programs place adults with developmental disabilities with host families trained to meet their individual needs.

Supervised Living (Group Homes)Supervised Living provides 24/7 support to adults living together in a neighborhood group home of two-four people.

Supported Living
Supported Living provides direct, ongoing support to adults with developmental disabilities living independently in their own homes.


This program helps individuals with disabilities find community-based employment that they enjoy and that is suited to their skills. Training and support are provided to both the employer and the employee and ongoing communication ensures that job expectations are being met. The program is funded by the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS).


Kennedy-Donovan Center operates a transportation program which provides specialized round trip transportation for individuals who utilize KDC programs and other day habilitation and school programs in the Southeast Massachusetts area.

Please note: the Transportation program is funded by contracts with regional transit authorities and local education agencies. It is closed to external referrals and requests for services
